Prof. Jiahui Yu obtained his B. Sc, M. S. and Ph. D. at Wuhan University from 1990 to 2000, and then completed his postdoctoral studies at Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Science. He moved to Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, Chinese Academy of Science in 2003, and worked as a Senior Research Scientist. In 2005, he took up a position at School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, East China Normal University. From 2007 to 2008, he worked with Prof. Chong-Su Cho in Seoul National University as a Senior Visiting Scholar. His scientific interests are in the Application of Materials and Nanotechnology for Advanced Therapy and Diagnosis of Human Severe Diseases with emphases on the development of novel gene carriers, antitumor drug delivery systems, MRI contrast agents and tissue engineering materials. He has published more than 100 papers, 20 patents and 5 book chapters.

For the past 35 years, Dr. Myron R Szewczuk, PhD is Full Professor of Immunology in the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Medicine, Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario Canada. He received his B.Sc. (Hon) in Chemistry (U. of Guelph), M.Sc. in Biochemistry (Guelph), Ph.D. in Immunochemistry (U. of Windsor) and post-doctoral training with Gregory W. Siskind, M.D. in cellular immunology at Cornell University Medical College, NYC. Dr. Szewczuk’s recent research has focused on the role of glycosylation in receptor activation with a particular focus of TOLL-like, nerve growth factor Trk, EGFR and insulin receptors. He has discovered a novel receptor-signaling platform and its targeted translation in multistage tumorigenesis and engineered drug delivery systems.

Professor Huan-Tsung Chang obtained his Ph. D. degree in Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry) from Iowa State University, USA in 1994 and became an associate professor and a professor in the Department of Chemistry, National Taiwan University, Taiwan in 1996 and 2001, respectively. He is also an Adjunct Chair Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Chung Yuan Christian University, Taiwan. His research focuses on Nanotechnology, Green Chemistry, Sensors, and Separation. Professor Chang is the author and coauthor of more than 300 scientific papers. He was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry in 2013. He was also bestowed the ‘Academic Achievement Award 2015’ by the Chinese Chemical Society.

Dianping Tang, Full Professor for Analytical Chemistry at the Fuzhou University, China, was born in 1972. He received the diploma degree in biochemistry from Sichuan Three Gorges University of China in 1986, and PhD from the Southwest University of China in 2008.
His research interests mainly include Clinical/Environmental immunoassays, Biological and Chemical microsensors, Synthesis and application of advanced functional nanomaterials, Fabrication of microfluidic device. At present, projects are focused on two areas: (i) Synthesis of advanced functional nanomaterials and application in biological and chemical microsensors, (ii) design and fabrication of a new family of immunoassays based on micro- and nanofluidic devices. The detection methods mainly consist of electrochemistry, surface plasma resonance (SPR), quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) techniques and immunoaffinity chromatography.
He received the Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship in 2008, and worked Technische Universitat Munchen, Germany, from 2008 to 2009. Importantly, he was selected amongst the 100 most influential People in the Analytical Scientist in 2013. He is currently a member within the editorial board of “Analytical Chemistry”, “Scientific Reports” and “Microchimica Acta”. Up to now, more than 100 publications under his authorship appeared in reviewed international scientific journals.

Dr. Jasmina Cilerdzic

Jasmina Ćilerdžić, the Research Associate at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Biology, was born in 1980 in Kraljevo, Serbia. She graduated in 2005, at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Biology in 2005, when she started her postgraduate studies at the same faculty. In 2009 she obtained the degree of magister and in 2011 the PhD degree.
From 2008 until now she is employed at the chair for Algology, Mycology and Lichenology, Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, engaged in teaching and research activities. In that period she participated in several scientific projects and is author or co-author of two book chapters, numerous articles in international peer-reviewed journals.
Her research focuses on edible and medicinal fungi, from two different aspects. The first is their ligninolytic potential and possible use in biotechnology and the other one is their bioactivity and possible use in pharmacology. The main objects in her studies were different Ganoderma species.
